Club Float in Beef Empire Days Parade 2002
Special Thanks for the work put into the Club Float goes out
to: Marion/KA0RID, Dave/KC0JSD, Jim/AC0E, Dean/N0OMC and Dave Fisher.
Dave’s pickup was a 1946 Chevy truck (War Model).
The float was a trailer of Shelby McNutt, loaned to the club for the
parade. There was a Force 12 HF Beam on the trailer up at about 10 feet. The
radio used to make a few contacts was the Icom 756 Pro. Dean supplied the two
P.A. systems for sound reproduction from the HF rig. Two contacts were made, one
in California and the other to a mobile station in Indiana.
The Float took Third Place in the Adults Class of the Beef
Empire Days 2002 Parade.

Here is Jim/AC0E holding the mast that is supporting the Force 12 HF Beam Antenna and Marion/KA0RID running the Icom 756 Pro.

The 3rd Place ribbon received for the float.
