FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q. I would like to get a comprehensive overview of Amateur Radio. Where can I go for that?

A. First of all you need to read an excellent overview of Ham Radio by one of our own SHARC Club members, Patrick KCØJNQ.

------- And -------

The hams across the country support an organization that looks out for the hams' interests, in U.S. Government activities, and indeed, the interests of hams around the world in global radio issues. This organization (The American Radio Relay League...ARRL...) is also an excellent source of 'overview' info on Amateur Radio ('ham radio') in general. The ARRL has an excellent web page at:

http://www.arrl.org/hamradio.html

Their Site Index is:

http://www.arrl.org/htdig/bigindex.html

Before you click on the ARRL URL's be sure to add this page to your Favorites, or Bookmark this page to make it easy to return here for further reading.
